According to the official figures released alongside the CUET UG result 2022, 14,90,293 individuals registered to take the national level test, but only 9,68,201 actually showed up.

Furthermore, just 8 of the total 17 third-gender candidates who had registered for the exam (or slightly more than 50%) showed up. The test was offered in 13 languages in 259 Indian cities and 10 locations outside of India. The test, known as CUCET until 2021, was required for admission to around 20 core universities. However, beginning in 2022, CUET will be utilised to provide admission to UG and PG programmes at a number of universities, including JNU, DU, BHU, Allahabad University, and others (which previously had their own entrance tests).
